HVBS - High voltage, large compact Aluminium Housed Power Resistor designed for high pulse loads
HVBS is most suited for single pulse loads like in Fault Ride Through Power Dump Resistors for Wind Turbines and in high voltage, industrial power applications like pre-charge of transformers or capacitor banks, where capacity for large impulse loads compared to average load is required.
Danotherm has developed Thermal Simulation corresponding to all resistor types and resistor values. By using these models we are able to calculate the temperature rises in the resistor wire and on the surface for all possible load applications. We assist our customers in finding the optimum solution for any need and situation.
